Natural Resource Management Education

Supporting environmental sustainability in education
NRM education is committed to an environmentally sustainable future and believes that working with young people to improve their understanding and develop their capacity to take action is one of the best ways to achieve that.
NRM Education is funded by the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board and the Central NRM Education team is hosted at KESAB environmental solutions.
NRM Education supports early learning centres, schools, TAFEs and Universities that are interested in exploring environmental sustainability in their learning programs and management practices. We work in partnership with the Department for Education and Children’s Services (DECS) to implement the Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative-SA (AuSSI-SA). The AuSSI program is an internationally recognised, best-practice model guiding educational institutions in their exploration of sustainability.
NRM Education is also proud to launch the “Engaging with Nature program in 2011” which encourages students to learn about, and take action, to protect their local environment.
